I searched make up mirrors for hours on Amazon. Bought one and sent it right back. Searched some more and came across this one. I wanted it quickly (immediate gratification, of course) so I hesitated as this one was not a Prime membership free two-day shipping option. I decided to go for it. Oh, boy, I’m so glad I did.Researching and reading hundreds of reviews helped me identify what features I did and didn’t want in a makeup mirror. Hope some of this helps you too!1) Brightness: My bathroom is not well lit and I’m getting older (55 years) so the brighter the better.I have discovered rechargeable battery operated mirrors do not give out as much light as those you plug in. This mirror has a long black cord that securely plugs into the back of the base. It stay put even when I move the mirror around on my counter. This mirror offers three different lighting options with a slight push of a button on the base. I also prefer lights such as this one which have a ring of light verses twinkle lights here and there on it. More importantly, it illuminates my face completely. It’s bright!2) Big! I, again, am old and am past the point of wanting to bend way over and stick my face into a mirror to precisely apply my makeup. This baby is extra large but not crazy huge that I can’t even see my counter. I love it’s oval shape too!3) Quality. With any purchase, I think we are all willing to pay more for a quality product if we can afford to. This mirror has substantial weight to it but not too heavy that I can’t move it around easily. It is solid and looks and feels like a luxury mirror.4) Magnifying. I gave the small-magnetic-move-around-the-mirror option a try on the mirror I returned. It was awful for me. It was always in the way or not where it needed to be when I wanted it and I spent too much time moving it around. This mirror flips from one side to other quickly and smoothly. The cord does not impact the functionality of this must-have feature (for me). Both sides have excellent clarity as well.5) Looks. Yes, how it looks in my bathroom is important to me. This one is absolutely beautiful.The only cons OK I’m gonna get ready. You guys need to chill out. No back up Josie back up. No sorry you are naughty what oh I can think to share would be the extra charge for shipping and the length of time it takes to receive the mirror. Both COMPLETELY WORTH IT!
